Engineered Slow Grown Hard Wood
All of our door systems are constructed using engineered slow grown hardwood. This is produced by removing all the natural defects of wood (i.e. knots, sap pockets etc) and laminating them back together with the wood grain running in different direction. This makes the material far stronger and more stable increasing its rigidity and strength. Wooden doors manufactured in this way are far less likely to bow if cared for correctly, not like other glass doors which use non engineered hard wood.
FSC Compliant Wood
FSC-certified wood is wood that is certified under the standards set by FSC (Forest Stewardship Council). FSC-certification is given to companies and landowners to verify that they practice forestry that is consistent with FSC standards. FCS certification show that the material used comes from a sustainable source
Argon Filled Glazing
All of our glazed units are Argon filled. Argon is an inert gas that moves or transfers hot and cold through the space at a much slower rate than air. The gas is introduced into the air space of the insulating glass unit and displaces the air trapped between the two glass panes during the manufacturing process. Therefore this inert gas provides optimum insulation performance.
Precision Engineering
The frames and doors are manufactured using state of the art computer technology. This machines the timber with precision making it as straight as steel for long lasting durability and performance.
Low E Coating
Low E (low-emissive) coating is a thin, transparent layers of metal oxide applied to the glass surface.
Argon Gas is a colourless, odorless gas from natural sources with a higher insulation value than air, by replacing the air inside the sealed insulated glass unit with Argon, it provides increased insulating performance..
Put Simply
Combined, they make your home cooler in the summer, warmer in the winter and they reduce the harmful ultra-violet rays that can fade your interior surfaces. Also, this should reduce fuel consumption - good for the wallet and good for the environment.
